Fall Spirit Week and Upcoming Events |
This event calendar is to help families be aware of events and activities planned at RMS by our school's ASB (associated student body) and the Leadership class. We try to host a variety of activities throughout the year, both educational and fun in nature, to help support your child's social-emotional development at school.

Hungry for Curriculum Night? It's Tuesday! |
The early bird gets the worm or, in this case, some sugar and spice from Food Trucks! Come by between 4:30 and 5:45 PM to feed your hunger from Sugar + Spoon and/or Spice on the Curve in our very own RMS Parking Lot. From there you can enter the school at 6:00 PM with a full belly and eager mind to meet the teachers and see the classes. Hey, you might even bump into a PTSA board member and consider joining us in our mission to create an accessible academic community. I hear we need a chair for the spelling bee! 🐝 And remember to please take care of your waste responsibly so that we can continue to find better uses for the parking lot than just waiting in the car line.

We are in need of parent volunteers for our Vision and Hearing screening on Tuesday, October 15th, between 7:30am - 2:15pm. PLEASE NOTE- WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR WHOLE DAY STARTING FROM 7.30 AM to 2.15PM. We will need plenty of volunteers to help everything run smoothly. We will start promptly at 7:30am for mandatory training and instructions. Email the school nurse Daryl Yao at dyao@lwsd.org if you have any questions.

Please remember, to volunteer in school, it is a REQUIREMENT to be LWSD-Volunteer-Approved. This is for the safety of our students and staff. Approval status of each volunteer is verified prior to every event. The easy online application only takes 5-8 minutes and all you need is some personal info and an electronic copy or picture of your photo ID. However, it can take a week or more to receive your approval. Volunteer approvals are valid for two years. If you need to apply for approval for the first time or renew your approval, please submit your application as soon as possible by filling out the online application. For more information, visit the Volunteering in LWSD page on the district’s website. There you can learn about the application process, check if your previous approval is still valid, plus other volunteer opportunities within LWSD.
