What to Expect - Week 11
This week's newsletter is filled with important reminders and updates - read below!
The last game of the season for the 6U-8U divisions is this Saturday, 11/19. For the 10U-14U divisions playoffs will begin the weekend after Thanksgiving on Saturday, 12/3. All teams will participate in the first round of playoffs. Parents, please mark your calendars. More information on playoffs will be shared shortly after the Thanksgiving weekend!
Registration is still open for Grad Series and Winter Stars. Read below for more information on these two exciting soccer programs.
Grad Series is a mini-season for Girls and Boys 8U players (and the oldest 7U players) that is designed to help them transition to the 10U Division. Players will learn about positions, offside, the build-out line; and will be playing on bigger fields with bigger goals. The season runs from January to February for a total of 8 weeks. This is a great player development opportunity for 8U (and the oldest 7U players). Visit our site for more information -- or, sign up here!
Winter Stars is an informal pick-up style soccer program on Sunday afternoons for ages 5-13, for 8-10 weeks. The program is great for players who enjoyed the fall season and want to keep playing soccer with their friends. The fields are designated "friendly" and "competitive" where players decide which field they'd like to play on. Visit our site for more information!

✔ League standings can be viewed here. Note, games have been updated as of 11/12 for 10U, 12U, and 14U divisions. Referee credits have been confirmed through 11/5.

Evolve Soccer (a Region 13 Sponsor) is holding Thanksgiving Camp November 21-23 for half-day or full-day. More information is available on their website.
Five Star Skills Thanksgiving Camp is November 25-27 from 9 am - 1 pm each day at the Glendale Sports Complex in Glendale. This will focus on skills, agility, passing, receiving, finishing, short-sided games, and much more! Early Bird Registration is $195 if you register by November 18. Regular Registration is $235 after November 18. Visit their website for more info!
On Saturday, February 25, 2023 Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) and the LA Galaxy are playing against each other for the opening match in the 2023 MLS season inside the Rose Bowl. Region 13 has a special offer to purchase a block of tickets. If you'd to help coordinate this, and any future outings to Galaxy games, please reach out to shanti@ayso13.org.
AYSO teams from around Southern California will be playing at the Rose Bowl soccer field for the Region 13 Thanksgiving Tournament. Come watch and support these teams as they play through the Thanksgiving weekend! Stop by on Sunday (11/27) for swag from the LA Galaxy, and get information on exclusive ticket discounts for AYSO members!
