What to Expect - Week 6
Congrats to all, we have just passed the half-way point of the Fall season! This week's newsletter contains important information heading into this weekends game, be sure to read everything below for the latest!
Friendly reminder All-Star tryouts for Girls & Boys 10U, 12U, and 14U will be on Sunday, October 30 and Sunday, November 6 at Muir North. Try something new, bring your best Halloween costume, and join us this month for tryouts!
Picture Day starts for some teams this weekend on October 15. Please make sure your child arrives on time and in full uniform!
The Picture Day Coordinator is looking for parent volunteers to help move teams throughout the picture-taking process. If you're available for a couple of hours, please arrive at Victory Park between 7:15am-4pm on Oct. 15, Nov. 5, or Nov. 12. Please sign up here. Region 13 would love your help!
What am I volunteering to help with? It's simple:
▫Help teams check-in
▫Make sure parents have their order forms ready (if they want additional products)
▫Ensure everyone from a team is present
▫Organize players from shortest to tallest
Parents who wish to order additional products should 1) complete the order form, 2) bring required payment, and 3) a printout of the completed order form to your assigned day. Order forms can be downloaded here. NOTE: Only complete this form if you want additional products. Otherwise, all players will receive a FREE digital download of their individual and team photos!
Additional reminders:
✔ Please encourage your child to sign up for All-Stars or the Region 13 Thanksgiving Tournament for continued player development!
✔ Keep up the good work, and let your volunteer coaches direct players during the game. Remember, they need your support after the game!
✔ We'd love to hear from you! Please send us your feedback here: https://ayso13.org/feedback. You can use the forms to provide direct feedback about a coach or referee who could use some additional mentoring or who is doing an amazing job!
Please remember to give players a chance to try different team roles over the course of the season. It's a great way for players to develop and learn other aspects of the game. Keep working on the fundamentals and those surprising free kicks and throw-ins!
Save the Date! The Regional Coach Administrator (RCA) and Regional Referee Administrator (RRA) will be hosting a midseason check in with all coaches and referees to discuss everyone's volunteer experience, answer questions, provide additional support, etc. This meeting will be next Wednesday, October 19 on Zoom - more details to follow!
Lastly, the league standings are available for Girls & Boys 10U-14U. Take a look here! Please also review the Referee Points and Sporting Conduct points on the website.

✔ Preliminary player assessments are due this week. Please visit your team spreadsheet for instructions, or reach out to your DCA.
✔ Please join us at the Clubhouse next Mon. Oct. 17 from 6:30 - 8pm for our last Continuing Coach Education session with Barry Ritson of Surf & Launch Sports.

Additional reminders:
✔ Please return Game Cards to Region 13's Clubhouse at the end of each Saturday.
✔ Write your team's ID (e.g. B14U04) on the game card so your team gets credit. Return game cards to the envelope at the tent at Victory or through the mail slot at the clubhouse. You can also use the QR code on the bottom to upload pictures but we also need the paper game cards returned!
✔ Use the referee schedule app to confirm your referee assignment. If you can't make an assignment, click "No" to let another referee know to fill in for you!

A few important reminders:
✔ Each player will receive both Team and Individual digital pictures.
✔ Additional items can be ordered on Picture Day.
✔ Photos will be taken at Victory Park.
✔ Teams will check-in with the photographer 15 minutes prior to the start of the photo session.

Sunday Soccer Program has been extended through October 23rd! Is a great way for your child's continued development, and to just have fun playing a bit more soccer! The sessions are on Sundays from 3:30pm-5:30pm at Muir North (directions). We encourage everyone to come for the whole 2 hours, but if you can only make part of it, that's okay too!
All Stars and the Region 13 Thanksgiving Tournament is just around the corner, and we want to make sure it's on everyone's radar!
