Parent Survey, Winter Series, and Holiday Soccer Camps!

El Tráfico

The LA Galaxy and LAFC face off at our own Rose Bowl on Feb 25. Region 13 has reserved a block of the cheap seats. We expect they'll go fast.

For Region 13 families and volunteers only, tickets will be $30 each, and Region 13 will pay for tickets for families who need financial assistance. There are no convenience fees or other charges. If you walk, you won’t even have to pay for parking!

Fill out this form to indicate your interest. If tickets are still available, you'll get an email within a day or two with instructions.

If you wait until this evening, they'll probably all be gone.

There will be two more Region 13 trips to watch Galaxy games, one in the spring, and one in the fall. Stay tuned!

Please answer a survey about the past fall soccer league to help your Region 13 improve.

Winter Stars is rescheduled to start on 1/15, weather permitting. Check before you go to the field.

Grad Series is scheduled to start on 1/14, weather permitting. Check before you go to the field.

All-Stars is run by Area 1C. This is a slightly different organization than Region 13. The schedule adapts as the weather dictates. Watch for the latest schedule changes.

Fall soccer will return in September 2023. Mark your calendars to register in May. Divisions fill up quickly so register and volunteer!

What's next?

If you're ready to try something different, we're fortunate to be neighbors to many other great sports clubs, most of which start registering players around now. You'll see many of the same AYSO players and volunteer coaches playing softball and baseball with Little League and PONY League. Those games start in March, about when All-Stars and Grad Series end. Girls can and do play baseball, by the way. If you already know how to ice skate, check out Li'l Kings hockey in Pasadena for kids 5-9, wherein the NHL provides all the equipment, to keep! Hockey may be the sport that most welcomes girls and boys to play together. Lacrosse is gaining in popularity, as well as Flag Football. Basketball goes year-round, and you'll find a league at just about every recreational center, including Foothill Hoops.
For individual sports, there's TennisWrestling, and Swimming. If you're looking for the most laid-back, no commitment recreation, try the new pickleball courts in La Cañada.
There's much more. We've linked to a few programs with similar philosophies to AYSO - positive coaching, everyone plays, balanced teams, and player development. The costs are similar to Region 13 soccer, and you can register as an individual player, not as a team. If we missed any, let us know to include them in a future newsletter.

More Soccer

If you're looking for more soccer, try Evolve Soccer (a Region 13 sponsor) and LA Grassroots. Both offer indoor soccer programs for kids of all ages.
