The 2023 Inclusive Golf Program’s summer session ends June 28th, 2023. Our Golf Program sessions run for 4 weeks and include participants living with mental illness, developmental/intellectual disabilities, and substance use disorders.

This program aims to foster inclusion in our communities by providing children and adults living with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental illness, and substance use disorders the opportunity to learn and play the game of golf by providing golf clinics and other activities with the help of golf professionals.

“Through the game of golf, individuals become actively engaged in the social fabric of our community and derive health benefits that improve quality of life. Integrating the necessary accommodations and modifications aids in reducing issues around accessibility and negative social attitudes. But even more than that, we give individuals the opportunity to learn to play golf from experienced golfers; individuals who would otherwise not have the opportunity.” – Sheila Kliethermes, Golf Program Coordinator

We are currently accepting new participants for the 2023 Inclusive Golf Program Fall Session.

Please contact Sheila Kliethermes at sheila.kliethermes@missourimhf.org or call our office if you or your group are interested in participating!
