Add Your Voice to the 2022 WSPTA Legislative Assembly!

The 2022 Washington State PTA Legislative Assembly will be held on October 15-16th, 2022.

This hybrid event offers a great opportunity to discuss important issues facing students, families, and educators today and will determine WSPTA's advocacy platform for the next two years.

RMS PTSA will be sending voting delegates and an issue presenter to the assembly. Everyone is welcome to join as regular attendees (discounts offered through WSPTA).

In order to fully represent our RMS community at the assembly and beyond, everyone not attending is encouraged to review the 2022 Legislative Assembly Voter Guide and send your "Top 5" choices, comments, and questions to Advocacy@rmsptsa.org.

Math club registration is now open at MathClubReg.
The math club prepares and manages student preparation for various math competitions including national events like AMC and Mathcounts, as well as regional ones like Math Is Cool and the Mustang Math Tournament.

 PTSA General Meeting

Please join us for the first PTSA General Meeting of the 2022-2023 school year on Tuesday, October 11th at 7:00 PM, in person at RMS or online!
We will be conducting the meeting in person at RMS, but also welcome you to join virtually via Microsoft Teams.

Come learn more about what the PTSA is doing for your students at RMS, enrichment updates, budget changes, and get to know your fellow RMS parents!

SCHOOL AND LWSD


  Highly Capable / Quest program

LWSD provides accelerated academic programs for students called Highly Capable / Quest programs. LWSD will accept applications until October 20, at 4:00 PM. Visit the LWSD Accelerated Programs website for links to applications and more Quest information. Students may be referred by parents or other individuals, including teachers, other staff, or a member of the community.

 FREE Sustainable Living Classes and Events this Fall

The City of Redmond is hosting free sustainable living classes. Classes at the Redmond Library will be in-person while the rest are virtual. Classes are free, but registration is required. Please go here for more information and to register.

 Volunteers Needed for Vision & Hearing Screening


Please come volunteer for our Vision and Hearing Screening on Tuesday, October 18th.

Training will be provided.
 
Remember that you must be an approved LWSD volunteer. If you’re not already, please fill out the LWSD volunteer application found in the SignUp Genius.

There will be two shifts on that day, 8:00am - 11:00am and 11:00am - 2:00pm.
We will need 4-6 people per shift.
