Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week 2025 was a tremendous success—thanks to you!  We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us in honoring Leigh syndrome awareness day, raising awareness, sharing our posts, fundraising, attending the Empower & Inspire Symposium, and more. Together, we made a global impact. 

As we look ahead, we’re thrilled to welcome our first-ever Community Engagement Director, Lauren Escobedo, who will be connecting with families and helping share their stories across our community. 

And for researchers, a quick reminder: the deadline to apply for our Leigh Syndrome Research Retreat and Workshop is November 1st—we hope many of you will join us for this unique opportunity to collaborate and advance the field.
