Hello friend,
As someone that’s always struggled with a scarcity mindset, it’s interesting to watch myself create abundance in one area of my life, for example, my finances, only to turn around and create scarcity in other areas of my life, for instance, with my time.
It begs the question: what role have I played that allows me to remain in situations I don’t want to be in? That’s a hard question to confront. I’m not asking it as a way to gloss over systemic issues or the reality that things outside of our control impact our lives.
I ask it because the folks I’ve met who have found a way to live an abundant life - whatever that definition means to them - have not just asked the question; they can answer it.
Sarah Gottesdeiner is one of those people. She is ruthlessly dedicated to understanding her true nature, taking action in the face of fear, and doing the hard work of transformation. She’s gone from years of underearning to being in the top 8% of women-owned businesses.
In my conversation with Sarah, we explore how life can be frustratingly paradoxical, how less can be more, and what we can do to cultivate abundance in our lives.
How are you cultivating abundance in this season of your life?

1.✨Embodying Abundance with Sarah Gottesdiener (Weird Finance) In this episode of Weird Finance, Paco talks to Sarah Faith Gottesdiener (@gottesss) about cultivating enoughness, how poor boundaries impact our finances, the spiral of healing in everyday life, creating a playful relationship with creativity, and nurturing an abundance mindset. This episode also features a segment called Stock Watch with Amanda Holden (@dumpster.doggy).

(HYG Original) 5. 💀 The Human Bones Seller of Bushwick (Curbed) The 23-year-old owner swears there’s nothing creepy about his business.
6. 💸 Young, Dumb, and Broke: Why Outdoorsy Types Suck at Money (Outside) “The desire to belong is a powerful motivator when it comes to how we treat money. While a $60,000 van is an extreme case, it’s the same rationale we use to buy a $7,000 bike or a $2,500 backcountry-skiing setup when we have credit card debt. “ 7. ⭐The Essay That Started It All (The Cut) “I’ve grown terrified that I no longer know the difference between a person meaningfully growing and changing, or just rebranding themselves. I am worried I confuse brand loyalty for friendship. And that the most genuine relationship most of us have is with our phone, where everything we say and look at makes someone else money. You feel it, too, right?”
8. 😯 Against Loving Your Job (In These Times) “Work itself no longer works. Wages have stagnated for most working people since Reagan and Thatcher’s time. A college degree no longer guarantees a middle-class job. The pandemic exposed the failures of the U.S. healthcare system and the brutality of “essential” work for those who had no choice but to keep going to their jobs despite the heightened danger.”9. 🐶 Upgrade your dog's diet with a fresh, healthy diet from Nom Nom and support their healthier, happier life (Nom Nom).
