Register for fall soccer

Over 2,000 players have already signed up for Fall soccer, and there are waitlists in most divisions. The number of teams in each division depends on how many parents coach and referee. You can help to ensure that more kids can play by choosing to volunteer!

Thanks to donations from many families and sponsors, especially the Capital Group and the LA84 foundation, the price will be the same as last year.

Register now for fall soccer!

I’ve Registered… Now What?

When you register, you'll also choose a volunteer role. If your player is waitlisted, a great reason to volunteer is that children of coaches and referees will have priority off the waitlist.

If you've already volunteered, thank you for helping to make our season possible! Coaches and referees should have already been contacted by your Division Coach Administrator, and if you have not heard from them, check your spam folder and contact your DCA.

To check on your training, login and view the NEW dashboard. Most training is online, followed by in-person coach/referee classes in late July and August. There will be some in September, but it's much better to do take them before the season starts.

If you are the head coach for more than one team, the games will be scheduled as conveniently as possible.

Volunteer

Instead of coaching or refereeing for a team, you can choose one of the 70 or so “back office” positions, including these

Please write to Terry, rc@ayso13.org, with how you can help this year.

Open Registration

One of AYSO's core philosophies is that anybody can register to play soccer in any AYSO region. No matter where you work or live, all that's required are interest and enthusiasm. You may register in any AYSO region. Region 13 practices and plays on fields in Pasadena and La Cañada.

Superhero of the week

Shant Kamajian was introduced to AYSO by his oldest child last fall, and joins the Region 13 board this year as the Treasurer. He says, "We as a family enjoyed and appreciated every aspect of AYSO: the team’s coach, assistant coach, the referee, and all other volunteers. So, I wanted to volunteer in some capacity for the upcoming season. When I saw the region was looking for a new treasurer, I thought it was the perfect match for a financial controller like me. As an accountant, I understand the importance of having clean financial records, and I wanted to continue the proper financial records for AYSO Region 13. An appreciative message to my predecessor is needed here. Mimi had done a terrific job as a treasurer, and she helped, and still helps me in any way she can. It is truly impressive how well everyone at the region works to bring soccer to our children. It is also impressive everyone’s willingness to help the community overall, including the region’s schools and parks. It's important for us parents to volunteer in any capacity possible. Outside of a few employees at AYSO’s corporate office, everyone at AYSO is a volunteer, and it is more fun when the impact is directly affecting our children."

Showing off

Fernando Morales and Leo Severino have been coaching their boys since the beginning of time, or at least it feels like that. After the All-Star and Spring League wrapped up, and their boys still wanted to keep playing, they got some kids together for an AYSO tournament and ... to their great surprise ... won!

If you'd like to have the problem of where to store an enormous cup, there's the Battle At The Beach in August, Camarillo Classic in September, Pasadena's Thanksgiving Tournament in November, and the Beverly Hills Sportsmanship Cup in December, not to mention more in the winter and spring. See https://ayso.org/ayso-tournaments/ for the list, and stay tuned for information on how to throw your name in the hat to join a tournament team.

Message from the commissioner

Dear Soccer Families,

I hope that you are looking forward to our fall soccer season - we have a fun season ahead of us! With over 2,000 players already signed up, we have many folks who have already volunteered and I'd like to express my deep appreciation and thank you for helping us!

But, since each team needs coaches and referees to play, we still need more folks to volunteer. The number of coaches and referees determine how many teams are formed, and thus, how many kids play.

It's not only that volunteering helps kids to play soccer, though that's a big reason for doing it. Your volunteerism also helps to build a community that values positive experiences and an environment in which to raise our kids. So if you haven't volunteered yet, I encourage you to sign up today!
