Dear Friends, Partners, and Supporters of the Cure Mito Foundation,
September has been a meaningful and busy month for the Cure Mito community! 💚 During Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week, we came together to raise awareness, advocate, share stories, and recognize Leigh Syndrome Awareness Day. We also welcomed nearly 200 attendees to our 5th Annual Empower & Inspire Leigh Syndrome Symposium and celebrated the creativity of our Color for Mito participants, and saw many inspiring fundraisers throughout our community raising critical funds and awareness for Leigh syndrome research. We are so grateful to everyone who participated, donated, shared, and supported these efforts!
As we close out an incredible month, we are already looking ahead to ACT4LS – Accelerating Cures and Treatments for Leigh Syndrome, taking place October 8–9 at the Broad Institute in Boston. This first-of-its-kind gathering will bring together more than 30 experts and stakeholders to collaborate on how we can accelerate progress for Leigh syndrome. We look forward to sharing more about the meeting, what we learn, and the next steps that come from these important conversations.
With gratitude,
The Cure Mito Foundation Team
