'It's (nearly) Christmas time, and there's no need to be afraid...'
Yeah, right! Try telling that to a Ukrainian, a Gazan, a Democrat or a Man City fan.
But what Sir Bob really meant when he penned those words with Sir Smidge 40 years ago, was don't worry, we've written a little pop song that's going to save the world. Or feed it, at least.
Well, our Eighties nights can't guarantee to end wars, reverse climate change and grow enough wheat for 8 billion people, but they can help you forget about all that crap for a couple of hours.
So join us this Saturday, as November creeps into December (when we can legitimately start using the C word), as we present our second outing as The 1985.
We'll be rolling back the years to when Rick Astley was everywhere, when Bruce Springsteen was touring relentlessly and Liverpool were top of the league... (err, hang on...)
Anyway, we'll be rolling back the years.
We're on stage at 9pm sharp. Christmas party hats allowed for the last couple of songs only. See ya there.
'In our world of plenty, we can spread a smile of joy'
Love and tinsel,
Howard, Dr Bob, Crow, Guy & The Force
