UCCA Receives $25,000 Grant |
Last fall, the DuPage County Small Nonprofit Agency Grant Program awarded UCCA $25,000 to help fight food insecurity faced by families in District 205. The funds will be used in 2024 to fund multiple mobile food pantry events and to purchase supplemental food supplies for UCCA's Annual Holiday Food Drive.
The end of pandemic-related government food programs and rising food prices has caused food insecurity in our community to rise to its highest levels in years. The number of UCCA client families increased 27% in the last year. The additional grant funds from the county provide much needed resources to help UCCA fill the gap.
