UCCA would like to thank everyone who participated in, and donated, to this year’s Taste of the Town: Dining for a Cause held May 18, at Wilder Mansion. Nearly 200 guests enjoyed delicious food and beverage tastings from 15 area businesses and raised more than $27,000 for UCCA! Money raised will be used toward the purchase of food and food gift cards for Elmhurst Community School District 205 children and their families who are experiencing difficult times.

UCCA sponsors the Northern Illinois Food Bank’s Mobile Food Pantry at Churchville Middle School, inviting Elmhurst District 205 families (and anyone in the area in need of groceries) to “shop” for meats, vegetables and other groceries, as well as cleaning products, several times each year. We need volunteers to help us sort the food as it comes off the truck and then load the food into people’s cars.

Community Food Drive at Elmhurst Public Library |
Donations accepted through the month of June During the month of June, show that you treasure your community by supporting the community food drive at the Elmhurst Public Library. Monetary donations are being accepted for UCCA, which provides food, referrals, and services to Elmhurst District 205’s most financially disadvantaged children and their families. Non-perishable food items are being collected for the Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry. A collection box will be available in the lobby of Elmhurst Public Library June 1-30. UCCA to Participate in Back-to-School Fair UCCA is pleased to join with the Elmhurst Resource Collaboration (ERC) at the 3rd annual Back to School Fair: Health & Resources in the Community.
