Contract Changes - Reminder for Practices
The BMA remain in dispute with the government over the 1 October contract changes, but practices must still comply with actions required under the contract. A brief reminder that to ensure compliance with new contractual requirements, and to avoid the risk of receiving remedial or breach notices from ICBs, practices must:

Practice Visits
The ICB are continuing to undertake visits to practices across the area as part of a rolling programme. These are based on a range of performance indicators and are designed to be supportive for colleagues. If you receive notification of a visit and would like a conversation with the LMC, or for us to attend the visit with you, please contact us at the usual email address humberside.lmcgroup@nhs.net. 

GP Wellbeing Resources
A range of wellbeing and support services are available to doctors, and we encourage anybody who is feeling under strain to seek support, such as the BMA’s counselling and peer support services, NHS practitioner health service and non-medical support services such as Samaritans. The organisation Doctors in Distress also provides mental health support for health workers in the UK.  

You can download a poster with 10 top tips to help support the wellbeing of you and your colleagues. The Cameron Fund supports GPs and their families in times of financial need and the RCGP also has information on GP wellbeing support. LMC England Conference 2025
Representatives from Humberside LMCs attended the LMC England Conference earlier this month in Manchester and took part in conference business including discussions on online consultation and access; the 10 year health plan; and the general practice contract.
