We are disappointed soccer can’t happen, but the rain does not dampen our joy in what an incredible Fall season it was. On to the Rose City Cup!
Saturday, December 6 | Sunday, December 7 | Saturday, December 13
The Rose City Cup is our postseason playoff. This tournament is a single-elimination format, with teams divided into flights based on regular-season records. Teams may play two matches on that first Saturday. Teams that keep winning will play on Sunday, December 7. Flight A champions will be decided on Sunday, and some Flight B and C games will follow on Saturday, December 13. Keep an eye out for the tournament schedule, which should be posted by Thanksgiving.
No Turkey Tournament Without YOU!
Region 13 is once again hosting our Thanksgiving Tournament. This year, it takes place on Friday, November 28 — Sunday, November 30. We will need Region 13 volunteers at various locations to assist with checking in teams, staffing tents, answering questions, and ensuring the Tournament runs smoothly. Let's make this the best Thanksgiving Tournament we have ever held—Thank you so much for your help!
Looking Forward to Winter Stars
Winter Stars is a casual soccer program in January and February, developed for those players who enjoyed the fall season so much that they want to keep playing soccer through the winter with their friends. Players are divided into groups by age and experience (but generally not gender). Coaches run training programs and then supervise scrimmage games between various groups. There are no other practices and no permanent teams.
Winter Stars is open to players of all ages, from 6U to 19U. This year, it will start on Sunday January 11 and run for eight weeks, planning to finish on Sunday, March 1.
For 8U Players Moving Up: Grad Series
Grad Series is a thrilling 8-week program designed for players moving up from 8U to 10U (born in 2015 or just finished a season in 8U). Players experience real 10U soccer with 7v7 games on a 10U-sized field with goals, goalkeepers, and all the official Laws of the Game, including offside.
All sessions will take place on Saturdays in January through March, with a 45-minute practice followed by a 50-minute game, all in one fun, fast-paced session! Grad Series is one of our most popular programs. It’s a fun, supportive, and confidence-building way to prepare for the jump to 10U soccer. Spots fill quickly, and registration is first-come, first-served.,
Priority is given to coaches and referees—the best way to make sure your player participates is by volunteering.

Come one and all to Region 13’s annual celebration and awards dinner. This family-friendly night is an opportunity for the entire community to gather and look back at another incredible fall season, send heartfelt thanks to our tireless volunteers, and recognize everyone who made soccer happen in 2025.

Hello, Region 13 Community,
Well, our fall season has come to an end in a somewhat soggy manner, but we have much for which to be proud and grateful. In the past ten weeks, 2,072 children have played more than 900 games of soccer on more than twenty different fields across our region. Goals have been scored, defeats have been suffered, and—most importantly—friendships have been fostered and grown. Those friendships include our kids but also our families and relatives: Those games alone required more than 4,000 hours of volunteer time, and that’s not including all of the work by volunteers to arrange and paint fields, buy and distribute uniforms, setup goals, take down goals, arrange snacks, and the thousands of little things that have to be done to make Region 13 go.
Please join me at our Holiday celebration on December 16, as we celebrate, thank, and congratulate everyone who took part in this season. It’s going to be a great evening!
In the meantime, we will continue to get together for the Thanksgiving Tournament, our 10U-14U playoffs, and then our Winter Stars, All Stars and Grad Series in January.
