Grad Series, Winter Stars, and Holiday Soccer Camps!

What to Expect - Week 10

This week's newsletter is filled with important reminders and updates - read below!

Parents

We are approaching the end of the Fall Program with only 1 more game left for 6U-8U (10U-14U teams have Playoffs beginning Dec. 3). Are your kids having a wonderful time playing soccer? Are they looking to continue playing past the fall? If so, Region 13 has two exciting soccer programs, Grad Series and Winter Stars.

Grad Series is a mini-season for Girls and Boys 8U players that is designed to help them transition to the 10U Divisions. Players will learn about positions, offside, the build-out line; and will be playing on bigger fields with bigger goals. The season runs from January to February for a total of 8 weeks. This is a great player development opportunity for the younger 8U players. Visit our site for more information!

Winter Stars is an informal pick-up style soccer program on Sunday afternoons for ages 5-13, for 8-10 weeks. The program is great for players who enjoyed the fall season and want to keep playing soccer with their friends. The fields are designated "friendly" and "competitive" where players decide which field they'd like to play on. Visit our site for more information!

Lastly, as we head into the final games this weekend, please remember to let your coaches focus on the coaching. Games have likely become more competitive, and those higher-placed teams are feeling anxious to keep their standings. Just remember to contain your excitement in a positive way.

Additional reminders:

✔ Sign up here for Grad Series is open for Girls and Boys 8U players! Select "Player Registration" in your InLeague account.

✔ Check out the interactive schedule, on InLeague, and in PDF form on the website for the remaining season schedule.

Referees

Please check to be sure that your referee credits (Volunteer Points in InLeague) have been assigned to the correct team. InLeague does this automatically, but not always to the expected team, especially if you have more than one youth playing. Login to InLeague, then select Your Profile in the upper right, then click on Volunteer Points. Let us know if any of your credits need to be assigned to another team.

Volunteers Needed

Region 13 is looking for a few volunteers to help with the following activities. The league cannot continue to be successful without new volunteers. If you're interested in helping out, or curious to learn more, please reach out!

▪ Volunteers are needed to help organize Winter Stars that goes from January through February. This is a great opportunity to work with Region 13 in organizing a smaller soccer program! Please reach out to shanti@ayso13.org

▪ Graphic designers to help with some of Region 13's creative needs for the website, branding, etc. Please reach out to shanti@ayso13.org
