Dance Expectations

With the Homecoming Dance coming up September 28th, we wanted to make sure parents/guardians were aware of Dance expectations as it relates to eligibility to attend.

These are the expectations that apply to eligibility to attend.

Students must not have any unexcused absences for two weeks prior to the dance. If a student has an unexcused absence during this time, they will not be allowed to participate in the dance. Student overall attendance must be 75% or better for the year.
Administration has the discretion to disqualify students due to excessive failing grades.
Students cannot be assigned an in-school or out-of-school suspension during a two-week time period prior to the dance. If the student receives an in-school or out-of-school suspension during this time, the student will not be allowed to participate in the dance.

Emergency Response Drill Tuesday

On Tuesday, there will be a lockdown drill for students and staff at the Middle and High schools. Students will review what to do in such a drill prior to the event. Parents can review what happens during these Emergency Response drills and what parents should do by clicking the button below.

For the purposes of the drill, calls to parents and caregivers will NOT be made.

VACCINE CLINIC

The School District has partnered with the South Milwaukee Health Department to host a vaccine clinic. The clinic will be held October 2, 3:30-6:00PM at E.W. Luther Elementary School (718 Hawthorne Ave, South Milwaukee).

Families need to sign up in advance for a time slot using Sign-Up Genius.

VACCINE CLINIC FLYER

On October 9th, there will be a College and Career Fair at the high school. All students will have the opportunity to explore options available to them after high school ends. Various businesses, colleges, technical schools, and branches of the military will be here to talk to the Rockets about their future.

Seniors are reminded to check Xello for the latest information available about scholarships and financial aid. They can also sign up for all of the campus visits from colleges throughout the months of October and November.

Detailed information about setting up food accounts, applying for free and reduced meals, and other important nutrition information is available online on the District website. Remember, you must apply for free and reduced status every year.

Students who missed picture day can have them taken on Oct 10th,

Senior Pictures for the Yearbook are due November 4th.
Late submissions cannot be accepted.

IMPORTANT: DAILY STUDENT DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP PROCESS

Students may only enter and exit at Door 29 (gym doors) from the Oak Creek Parkway - Door 8 and 9 will not be a drop-off or pick-up except under special circumstances.
