Drop Off and Pick Up - Move on Up!
Move Up and Help Ease Congestion
Thank you so much to our parents and caregivers for adapting to new traffic patterns around the middle and high schools. Pick-up and drop-off have gotten better.
There's one way we can help each other move quickly and safely through drop-off: using all of the space in front of the Middle School and beyond.
If you find space ahead of you as you approach the Middle School Entrance Driveway, please move on up and use the entire sidewalk in front of the school and beyond.
This will help speed up drop-off and get our students to class and everyone on their way to their next destination.

Building a strong sense of belonging for our students is a key priority for our school and district for the 2024-25 school year.

South Milwaukee Middle School is working toward this goal with a new initiative to build community and sense of belonging for all students within our building called Rocket Crew.

Rocket Crew Rocket is a “course” that meets daily for 45 minutes. The Rocket Crew community is meant to be a safe place for all students to be themselves.

Rocket Leaders will serve as your student’s advocate and a family touchstone. They will also provide relationship-building, social and emotional skill coaching, academic advising, and service opportunities for Crew members.

Our Rocket Crews will also work hard at making school feel fun and enjoyable for all!

On Tuesday, there will be a lockdown drill for students and staff at the Middle and High schools. Student will review what to do in such a drill prior to the event.

No more having to cut out and save your BoxTops!  Download the app and start scanning your receipts instead!  The app will ask you to create an account and enter the school name - South Milwaukee Middle School.

The app will automatically identify products that you bought with the BoxTop label and will put money directly into the MS account.  Not only can you see how much money YOU have earned for the school, but you can see the overall school progress as well.

The app is super easy to use and will walk you through how to scan your receipts and other ways to earn money for the middle school.  Money that is collected by Student Council in the MS BoxTop program helps offset the costs for student field trips, MS building activities, and other student-focused MS expenditures.
