Butter Braid fundraiser has started
A slice of a Butter Braid pastry makes any day better.  They are great for breakfast, desserts, appetizers, and special occasions like the upcoming holidays.  All Butter Braid pastries are frozen, hand-braided pastries filled with a variety of mouthwatering fillings.

This fundraiser helps the PTO provide free events for Lakeview families throughout the year.  Our winter event is a dance in December.
Forms went home with your student/s this week.

We do not allow Halloween costumes at any of our elementary schools in South Milwaukee.  We do our best to keep Halloween a normal day of learning, so please save your costumes for neighborhood trick-or-treating.

Occupational Therapists in a school help students build skills that allow the student to fully participate in their education.  These skills include fine motor skills (like writing), sensory processing, attention, executive functioning, self-care, and vocational skills.  We are grateful to our OT at Lakeview, Allison Simmons, because she is thinking about how each of these skills help students become independent learners.  Please celebrate Mrs. Simmons and OT's everywhere who make a difference!

This year's food drive will run November 4-14! Each class will get a tally for the food or hygiene theme of the day. At the end of the week, the class that has collected the most food that coordinates with the theme will win a whole class celebration! Below are examples and suggestions. We will donate any kind of non-perishable and unexpired food or hygiene items.

Monday November 4: PASTA! Mac & cheese, ramen, noodles, chef boyardee, spaghettios!

Tuesday November 5: Peanut butter and jelly!

Wednesday November 6: Soup! Canned or dried packaged soup!

Thursday November 7: Chili theme! Chili powder, any canned or jarred spices to add to chili, canned tomatoes, canned beans, bagged beans, canned chili, canned tomato paste, spaghetti sauce!
