VETERANS DAY PROGRAM - NOVEMBER 11 South Milwaukee High School will host its annual Veterans Day program on Monday, November 11, 2024. The program will be held this year in the Performing Arts Center at approximately 1:30pm. Veterans will be recognized for their accomplishments in service to America before being treated to a reception in the high school library.
If you are interested in attending, please contact one of the Veterans Day planners (Mr. Grassl, Mr. Cleveland, Ms. Scruggs or Mr. Larson) who will be able to provide more information for the event. If you know of a Veteran who will be unable to attend the event, but you would still like to see their information added to the Veterans Day slide show, please send their biographical information to one of the event planners. A photo of the service member would be great but is not necessary. Please share their name, rank, branch of service, years service, and highlights of their military service.
And as always, thank you for your service.

Presently, over 9,200 employers in Wisconsin employ over 480,000 people in manufacturing alone. At South Milwaukee High School, we provide opportunities for careers in both woods and metals manufacturing, with related courses including 3D Modeling, Wood Manufacturing Technologies, Woods 1 & 2, Machine Tool 1, 2, & 3, and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Manufacturing & Production. We also have Youth Apprenticeship programs so students can earn while they learn and receive a state credential from the Department of Workforce Development to help set them up for Registered Apprenticeships after graduation. If your student is interested in learning more, please see the Academic & Career Planning Guide, or reach out to teachers in the Technology & Engineering Department or your student’s School Counselor.
