Go to a Galaxy game with Region 13! Purchase tickets through Region 13, and they'll be sent to your mobile app a few days before the game.
March 30 in Carson, 7:30 pm, vs the Seattle Sounders. Tickets are $25, and so is parking. Only a few discounted tickets remain.
July 4 at the Rose Bowl, vs LAFC. Tickets are only $30; parking will be exorbitant. You can even wear your LAFC jersey. To thank Region 13 for buying 1.3% of the sold-out stadium last year, and setting the MLS attendance record, Region 13 has a ticket allocation at a special price. Yes, they're the cheap seats, in both the Galaxy and neutral sections, but they were going for over $100 last year. Get 'em while you can!
Here are some ways you can help make Region 13 work in 2024, beyond volunteering for a team. If you're interested in contributing or would like to nominate someone, please write to Terry at help@ayso13.org. These are the easy jobs! No soccer experience needed.
Ken Aston Referee Camp is June 21-23 2024 at Chapman University in Orange, CA. AYSO will pay for you to attend and level up your referee certification. Ken Aston, MBE, was an English referee, inventor of the red and yellow card system, and longtime Chief Instructor for AYSO.

This winter, about 250 kids formed 22 teams to play with similar teams from nearby cities. There are three levels of competition, called "Section", "Area", and "Region." After a few intense weekends in February, they hold a playoff tournament. The Section-level winners then go to play teams from all over LA and Riverside counties. The winner of that tournament gets to go to the Western States Championship. In addition, the League Champions and Rose City Cup champions from the fall Core program get to compete in a similar tournament, and if they get all the way through that, they also go to the Western States Championship tournament.
Following the adage, "if you want to get good at something, do it a lot," father-and-son team Samir and Varun Singh coached the Fall B12U team, "Green Eggs and Ham," and also the B12U Section All-Star team. Between those two teams, and Varun's 16U team, they'll have done about 50 soccer games this year. So we are pleasantly surprised, though not all that surprised, that both Green Eggs and Ham and the Region 13 B12U Section team are going to the Western States Championships in Lake Forest Park on March 16-17. This season, a handful of teams are staying together to compete in tournaments. If you're a coach, you can also assemble a team of players who played in the fall and take them to a tournament. Write to next@ayso13.org for more info.
More kids wanted to play in the Spring League than there were enough coaches and referees to form teams for. A few hundred more kids, in fact.
Spring League is an "interlock" program, where games are played with teams from nearby cities. Games start March 16. The schedule for the first two weeks has been sent to coaches. This is still in flux, as the field availability remains a challenge. Thanks to Samir for confirming volunteers and working hard to pull this together!
Spring Cup for the high-school ages also starts thiss weekend. There were also more kids who wanted to play than coaches. If you want to coach a 16U team in a few years, the coaching pathway starts in 12U. After a season at that level, you can upgrade to Intermediate Coach, and then earn the Advanced Coach certification.
Region 13 is exploring ways to make fields available on Sunday afternoons for pickup soccer for everyone else. You can, of course, always invite some friends to meet you at the park. Or just go to the park, find some kids playing soccer, and ask to join them.
