Really short newsletter this week

Come to Sunday Soccer from 3:30 – 5pm at McKinley. This includes professional trainers doing skills clinics, goalkeeper training, and pickup games. If you want to play with a friend who was assigned to a different team, this is your chance!

Players can apply for All-Stars and tournament teams at ayso13.org/all-stars. Unsure? Sign up and go to the tryouts. 

If you miss your team picture, come anytime during the scheduled picture days for an individual make-up. Have your team number, coach name, and coach email ready on a piece of paper they can photograph.

Stay cool!

Being a soccer player, a coach, or a referee, is mentally exhausting. If you have a suggestion for your child, a coach, or referee, during the game and halftime are difficult times to have that discussion. Everyone involved in the game is trying to keep track of 20 or so people on the pitch. That's one reason why coaches do most of their personalized instruction during the midweek practice. If you have a concern or a suggestion, other than affecting immediate safety, it's best to save it until Monday or Tuesday.

Nominate the next Region Commissioner

Terry Takahashi's 2-year term as Commissioner of Region 13 ends on February 28, 2025, at which time the Region 13 Board of Directors will elect a new commissioner for a two-year term. If you would like to nominate someone for the position, please email Taj Chiu at taj@ayso13.org before Nov 15. She will present viable candidates for a vote at the December 2024 Region 13 Board of Directors meeting.
